ABOUT ME

Chippewa Valley Kangals is located in west central Wisconsin.  My love of dogs began as a child.  I joined 4H and competed at the local fair with my dog Kipper in obedience and showmanship.  In 2003 I began working at Chippewa Veterinary Clinic and became a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2009.  After acquiring my first Great Dane in 2007 I knew I would always have big dogs.  Wanting a healthy, long lived breed, research led to the Kangal Dog.  My journey with the breed started with Aslan in January 2014.  We started obedience classes shortly after he arrived and my passion for training dogs was sparked again.  He has multiple obedience and rally obedience titles.  I joined the Kangal Dog Club of America in 2014 and joined the board of directors in 2016.  Eylül joined us in 2017 and the idea of breeding Kangals  was born.  Our goal at CVK is to produce healthy puppies with correct temperament and conformation.  Our dogs are companions here but we want to get puppies into working or performance homes.  Aslan and Eylül come from working dogs and they have strong guardian instincts with great temperaments.
